Preparing for Hurricane Season-Part II!

In this post I am including the items from my previous posts because I realized that it takes a while to scroll back through time:

Heavy duty contractor trash bags

Gorilla tape

Flash lights

Fresh batteries

Solar lights

Extra non perishable food items for at least a week

Check for weak or dead tree limbs on any trees and remove them

Check for loose or weak roofing and repair as needed

These are just a few things that are imperative if you are out tending farm animals. The state and cities have terrific lists available for your area. be sure to check with your local services.

Something to keep in mind when you think you won’t get any hurricane damage is to look up the track that the 1900 hurricane took when it came in to Galveston, Tx. Also the way Hurricane Harvey stalled and then rolled along the coastline dumping buckets of rain along the way! It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
