Another Wonderful Surprise!

Little Spunky has had her first calf! She has had it tucked away in the undergrowth to protect it from the brutal sun.

Headed to the Shade!

Finally!!!

Finally my brindle mama has calved. She has baby tucked away in the tall grass…typical behavior for longhorn mamas.

Summer Solstice Relaxing!

Oops! I hit publish by mistake. Early morning chores have been completed and now it’s time to nap until the sun begins to go down along with the temperature. Just too hot outside to do anything else! Then it will be outside again to check waterers and feed. I’m beginning to watch for the new calf crop! Stay tuned!

Love the Shade…
